Dear Linkin Park,
I reached Brigade Innovation Gardens and felt a rush of disbelief and joy. Everywhere I looked, people wore Linkin Park shirts and every face held the same stunned, happy excitement. Many had waited more than twenty years to see Linkin Park perform in India for the first time. The air hummed with hope and quiet awe. Bloodywood opened the night at 6:20. They thanked Linkin Park for inspiring them and stood on stage grateful for the chance to play. Their energy warmed the crowd as the evening settled into a chilly darkness.
By 7:50 the breeze was cold and the whole place buzzed with nervous, joyful waiting. People chanted "Linkin Park", "Chester", "Emily", voices rising and falling like waves. We started singing "In the End", "Numb" and the sound spread until it felt like one single, giant heartbeat. Then the countdown began. Screams filled the night as the intro to "Burn It Down" kicked in. That first chord sent shivers through everyone. When "Somewhere I Belong" started, I couldn’t hold back my tears. In that moment, thousands of strangers were no longer strangers. We shared one feeling, one dream held together by the music.
After Chester’s passing, I never thought I would see Linkin Park live. But they chose to keep going, to stay together and carry forward what mattered most. That dedication, their bond and friendship moved me more deeply than I can say. The night became one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life.
